Westside Future Fund Welcomes Audrey King to Board of Directors

Westside Future Fund (WFF) announced today the appointment of Audrey King, Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility for Georgia Power, to its Board of Directors. King also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Georgia Power Foundation, and brings more than three decades of experience in corporate leadership, philanthropy, and community engagement to advance WFF’s mission of resident-centered neighborhood restoration on Atlanta’s historic Westside.

“Audrey King is an extraordinary leader whose career has been defined by a deep commitment to empowering Georgia communities,” said John Ahmann, President & CEO of Westside Future Fund. “Her experience leading corporate responsibility and philanthropic efforts across the state makes her a tremendous addition to our Board as we continue building long-term, community-focused outcomes for historic Westside residents.”

In her role at Georgia Power, King leads and directs the company’s corporate responsibility, philanthropic, and community engagement and volunteerism initiatives across the state, with a focus on education, the environment, and empowering Georgia communities.

Prior to assuming her current role in April 2025, King served as Senior Vice President of Region External Affairs for Georgia Power, where she led the company’s external activities across the state. She previously served as South Region Vice President, overseeing external activities across a 62-county area. King has held roles spanning customer service, sales, distribution, and external affairs over more than 30 years with the company.

“I am honored to join the Westside Future Fund Board of Directors and to contribute to the meaningful work happening across Atlanta’s historic Westside,” said King. “The Westside’s legacy residents are incredibly important to this community, and as we continue to make purposeful investments that uplift and empower those who call it home, I look forward to bringing my experience in corporate responsibility and community engagement to support WFF’s mission of restoration without displacement.”

In the community, King has served on the boards of the Atlanta Police Foundation, Atlanta Beltline Partnership, and the Department of Community Affairs, where she served as board chair. She has also served on boards for the Savannah Economic Development Authority, Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Union Mission, Inc., Savannah Technical College, and the Georgia Southern University Housing Foundation. King is a graduate of Leadership Lowndes, Leadership Savannah, and Leadership Georgia, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Troy University.

“Audrey King’s appointment underscores the shared commitment to Atlanta’s Westside that defines our Board,” said T. Dallas Smith, WFF Board Chair. “Her decades of experience strengthening communities across Georgia — combined with her deep roots in corporate philanthropy and civic engagement — make her an invaluable addition to our Board as we advance our most ambitious chapter yet.”
