The Atlanta University Center is the academic heartbeat of the Westside and the largest consortium of historically Black colleges and universities in the nation — shaping generations of Black leaders, scholars, artists, ministers, and professionals who have changed the course of American life.

Its influence extends far beyond the classroom — the AUC anchors the surrounding neighborhoods culturally, economically, and spiritually, and its presence has been inseparable from the identity of the Westside for more than a century.

As the Westside grows, the AUC remains its cornerstone — an institution of national significance rooted in a community it continues to elevate and be elevated by.
